For Providers

Bring your craft to someone’s next project.

Show what you do and meet people looking for your skills—from photography and design to production and web development.

Two monitors displaying design work on a desk.

Most of the pitching you do is unpaid work.

The proposal that took your Sunday, the intro email nobody opened, the quiet month when a client goes quiet. The brands who’d book you tomorrow have never heard your name. Circle fixes that, so you can stop pitching.

Your response

Reply in five minutes, with work you’ve already made.

When a brief matches you, Circle tells you and shows the brand your Profile. Add a line about availability, attach the two or three pieces that fit, send. The brand picks from finished work, which means the web designer with the best Shopify stores wins, even if she hates writing proposals.

Note to the publisher

I shoot product in studio and love working with bold colour, mostly beauty and jewellery. I’m free on the 12th and 13th.

The plan

Plan it with the people making it.

From the moment you’re booked, the businesses participating and you plan the project together in one conversation. Dates, mood board, deliverables: everything is agreed where everyone can see it, so the day runs the way you planned it.

Samples went out yesterday, so everyone should have the mask by Friday. The shoot is still the 12th.

  2. Dani ReyesCreatorThu 11:02 am

Tried the mask last night and left it on way too long. Honestly, that’s the video. Okay if I film my own evening routine with it first?

Yes please. That’s exactly the feeling.

You rank on your work. Nobody can buy your spot.

Your Profile is public and leads with what you’ve made: the sites, the identities, the shoots, the launches. Every time a brand’s brief matches it, Circle puts you forward. Add a piece whenever you finish one. That’s the whole algorithm.

You’re a small business too.

Everything brands use here, you can use. A studio of one still needs a website, a bookkeeper and more referrals: post the brief, trade for it, or team up with providers who serve the same clients you do.

Your project

Hire it, swap for it, or grow it together.

Opportunity. Need a retoucher by Thursday? Say so in plain English. Freyja writes it up as a brief, suggests the roles, and you post it. Matches come back the same way yours do.

Swap. You shoot product, you need a logo. A designer needs product shots. Trade skill for skill, no invoice either way.

Pact. Join a Referral Circle or Newsletter Ring with other providers who serve the same brands you do. Someone’s client needs a videographer, they send them to you. You do the same back.

Questions

How will I know when a brief suits me?

Circle tells you. You’ll see the brand, the brief and why it matched your Profile, then decide whether to respond.

Does Circle handle contracts and payment?

No. Circle makes the introduction and gives you the thread. Rates, terms and invoicing are agreed between you and the brand, the same as any client.

What if a brief doesn’t look right?

Ask in the thread before you accept. Check the scope, the dates and the budget like you would with any new client. Nothing is binding until you both say yes.

Do I have to pitch?

No. Your Profile does that. When a brief matches, you reply with a short note and the work that fits.

What does it cost?

Musefunnel is free to join, and the Paid Suite subscription is US$10 a month. Paying doesn’t change who finds you.

Who can see my Profile?

Anyone, once you publish it. Until then it’s a private draft.

How Circle works
Is Circle for my craft?

If you bring specialist skill to creative or commercial work, such as photography, makeup, styling, set design, retouching, or production, yes. Your Profile and Work show what you do.

Three places, for three parts of a launch.

Circle to find the people. Albums for the night itself. Studio, soon, for what you post afterwards.
